Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Dublin, CA is seeking a patient, energetic Swim Instructor to bring our water-safety curriculum to life. You will teach kids foundational skills, build connections with families, and take ownership of each child’s progress.

You’ll work part-time, with evenings and weekends, in a fun, energetic pool environment focused on safety and growth. Lifeguard certification is encouraged, and experience with children is valued.

Qualifications

• Reliable, upbeat team player with energy each shift.
• Willingness to obtain Lifeguard certification and grow.
• Experience as lifeguard/coach/caregiver or similar.

Responsibilities

• Deliver swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum with consistency, energy, and a focus on student growth.
• Enforce safety rules and regulations on the pool deck daily to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment.
• Accurately evaluate student progress and complete skill evaluations on time.
• Connect with parents and guardians after lessons to share student updates, celebrate wins, and address concerns with care.
• Use creative problem-solving to help students work through challenges and keep progressing.
• Maintain and properly store all pool equipment, including placing and removing lane lines.
• Assist with light cleaning duties such as deck mopping, window washing, and trash removal as needed.
