The Michaels Stores in Aiken, SC is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events and children's birthday parties, delivering fun, creative experiences while guiding guests through crafts. Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Ability to plan and coordinate multiple events.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards.
