Michaels in Wichita, KS is seeking an enthusiastic Event Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events including kids' birthday parties. You will engage customers, guide them through activities, and ensure smooth logistics from planning to cleanup.

Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, teaching craft projects, managing add-ons, handling emails and calls, and maintaining store standards while delivering friendly checkout and product assistance.

Qualificações

• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have experience working with children and children's events.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal.
• Must have organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects, perform face painting and other activities.
• Facilitate and implement party add-ons such as goody bags, balloons, etc. to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork as needed.
• Adjust plans and events based on client’s feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold the company’s cleanliness and safety standards. Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities including (but not limited to) sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining cleanliness of restrooms
