Job summary

Michaels in Oxford Valley, PA is seeking an Event Coordinator to organize and run multiple crafting events, including children’s parties, while engaging participants with creativity and fun.

You will manage client communications, coordinate with store teams, teach project activities, handle administrative tasks, and help ensure safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction at every event.

Qualifications

• Excellent people skills.
• Experience working with children and children's events.
• Good communication skills (written, verbal, and nonverbal) and listening.
• Retail and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children's birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in craft projects and face painting.
• Coordinate party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails, phone calls, and paperwork.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed as needed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean before and after events.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Participate in daily store cleanliness activities (sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, restrooms).
