Job summary

The Michaels Amherst store is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events, including kids\' birthday parties and craft classes. You will help customers shop, assist with party activities, and ensure a friendly checkout experience while upholding store safety and cleanliness.

You will coordinate client communications, manage event details, and support additional store tasks such as stock, merchandising, and orderly backroom operations.

Qualifications

• Experience planning events, including children\'s parties.
• Ability to engage guests of all ages.
• Excellent people skills and customer service.
• Experience with crafting or party activities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events, including children\'s birthday parties and other craft classes.
• Engage clients of all ages by creating a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct crafts and activities, including face painting.
• Manage add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Assist customers, locate products, and provide fast, friendly checkout.
• Handle administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and stock planograms as needed.
