Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking enthusiastic Chef Instructors to deliver hands‑on cooking and nutrition classes for kids and teens in the Tampa area. Instructors lead sessions, manage safe classrooms, and foster curiosity about food and culture.

Responsibilities include planning, shopping for ingredients, transporting a mobile cooking kit, and delivering engaging, age‑appropriate lessons from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on weekdays. Training and a supportive team are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, teaching, coaching, childcare, camps, culinary education, or a related field is a plus.
• Availability at least 2 weekdays per week between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
• Ability to commit to an entire class session, typically 4–12 weeks.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to transport your cooking kit and groceries to assigned locations.
• Ability to arrive approximately 20–30 minutes before class.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 30 lbs.
• Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
• A positive, patient, and energetic approach to working with children.

Responsibilities

• Lead hour‑long cooking enrichment classes for groups of approximately 8–14 students.
• Guide students through kid‑tested recipes and age‑appropriate kitchen techniques.
• Teach practical skills such as measuring, mixing, chopping, food preparation, and kitchen safety.
• Introduce students to nutrition, food science, history, geography, and different cultures through cooking.
• Encourage students to try new foods and develop confidence in the kitchen.
• Create an inclusive environment where every child feels successful and supported.
