Job summary

Sticky Fingers Cooking Houston West is seeking a part-time Chef Instructor to lead hands-on classes for kids aged 3-18. You’ll follow provided curricula, manage a class of 8-14 students, and create a fun, safe learning environment.

Classes run weekdays after school, typically 2–5 PM, offering flexible scheduling and paid training. The role includes on-campus instruction, food reimbursement, and the chance to inspire healthy cooking habits in young learners.

Qualifications

• Availability to teach 1 hour classes (on campus approx. 90 mins) at least 2 days a week between 2–5 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Punctual, reliable, and comfortable managing groups of 8–14 kids.
• Must arrive on campus 15–30 minutes prior to scheduled class time.
• Able to commit to teaching sessions that run 4–12 weeks.
• Must pass state and FBI background checks as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Hands-On Cooking Classes: teach kids to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy recipes.
• Spark Creativity: introduce new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging way.
• Stay Organized: prepare with provided curricula, shop for ingredients, and set up a safe learning space.
• Be the Face of Fun: inspire kids and help build confidence in the kitchen.
