Job summary

KidStrong Gilbert is seeking coaches to lead 45-minute, science-based classes for kids up to 11 years old. You will serve as Point Coach, Rover Coach, Lobby Front Desk, and Mentor, rotating through roles and engaging families with warmth and energy.

The role requires CPR certification, a background check, and KidStrong Coach Certification; shifts include part-time or full-time, with varying weekday and weekend hours. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with kids is non-negotiable.
• Athletic, coaching, teaching, or pediatric OT/PT background preferred.
• Comfortable talking to parents.
• Reliable, on time, and a self-starter.
• CPR certified (or within 30 days of hire).
• Must pass a background check and achieve KidStrong Coach Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coach ages 15 months–11 years with the current week's programming; understand the "why" behind the curriculum and explain it to parents in one sentence.
• Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class; maintain a dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor.
• Record attendance, awards, and progress in the KS Coach App.
• Read and react to the daily Shift Operations Report (SOR) in the center's Slack channel; post AARs as assigned.
• Maintain daily and weekly cleaning and equipment checklists.
• Communicate professionally in Slack; check messages before shifts.
• Complete required KidStrong University modules before training and on an ongoing basis.
• Coach special events (Parents' Night Out, birthday parties, camps) when scheduled.
