Job summary

YMCA OF GREATE MONMOUTH COUNTY in Freehold, NJ is seeking a Kids Club Associate for the on-site Kids Club. This part-time role focuses on providing quality childcare, guiding activities, and ensuring a safe, enriching environment for children aged 16 and up.

Under the supervision of the Youth and Family Program Coordinator, you will implement activities, maintain cleanliness, and interact with both children and adults to promote the YMCA mission and core values.

Qualifications

• The individual must be at least 16 years of age.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Child Care facility or as a babysitter.
• Broad understanding of childcare policies.
• Ability to engage in daily routines and activities with children.
• Oral and written communication skills for interactions with adults and children.
• First Aid, CPR/AED certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Complete YMCA Jersey Shore New Team Member Orientation.
• Complete YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Online Training.
• Complete Blood borne Pathogen Online Training.
• Notify Wellness Director within 60 days before First Aid/CPR/AED expiration date; trainings provided by YMCA.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality childcare for children in the Kids Club room.
• Interact with children during activities and guide program events.
• Help implement scheduled activities to meet physical, social, and emotional needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow cleaning procedures.
• Report any safety concerns and incidents to supervisor in writing.
