Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED and 1 year experience working with school-age children.
• CPR, 1st Aid, Epi-pen, & AED certified, or acquire within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Health and safety of the children at all times.
• Ensure children are released to authorized person.
• Sign-in/sign-out procedures followed daily.
• Assist Site Supervisor in preparation and implementation of activities.
• Create a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Meet individual and group needs of the children.
• Supervise children during play and quiet homework time.
• Know and implement site emergency procedures and have relevant forms.
• Model YMCA values in conduct.
• Ensure proper clean-up and hygiene of play areas.
