Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Cypress, CA is seeking a Kids Instructor to provide best-in-class educational and fitness-minded programming for children from three months to 11 years in the Kids Academy. You will organize, instruct and implement safe, fun activities and may host parties and events.

Greet members, foster children’s development, maintain attendance records, and ensure a safe environment. Must have First Aid/CPR within 60 days and complete required Learnings before starting.

Qualifications

• First Aid certification, Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification required within the first 60 days of hire
• Completion of all Kids On-Demand Required Learnings prior to first day of work
• Experience teaching children ages 3–11 in similar programs preferred

Responsibilities

• Greets and engages members and guests professionally
• Instructs organized activities to foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
• Prepares and sets up for classes and transfers children to/from programming
• Maintains attendance, development, and incident records
• Maintains a safe and healthy environment with proper supervision of toys and equipment
• Uses positive behavior management and communicates with parents and teammates
• Promotes junior programming to increase participation in Kids & Aquatics
• Keeps Kids Academy and related areas clean and stocked
• Handles incidents and emergencies calmly and professionally
