Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL seeks a skilled RN transplant coordinator to manage pre- and post-transplant care, organ procurement, and multidisciplinary scheduling. The position requires 1+ year of leadership and transplant/critical care experience, with preference for teaching/preceptor roles.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (Registered Nurse)
• 1+ year leadership experience required
• 1+ year transplant, critical care experience required
• Transplant care experience preferred
• Teaching/preceptor experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-transplant evaluations and assessments.
• Manage transplant waiting list and patient status updates.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families and transplant team.
• Organize and schedule transplant surgeries and related procedures.
• Provide education and support to patients and families throughout transplant process.
• Monitor post-transplant recovery and follow-up care.
• Manage donor organ procurement and transportation logistics.
• Coordinate with blood bank for donor/pheresis products.
• Coordinate pre- and post-bone marrow transplant evaluations when applicable.
• Develop and implement transplant coordination policies and procedures.
