Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is hiring a Child Watch Associate to provide a safe and caring environment for children in YMCA care. You will work with your supervisor to create a fun, engaging program and greet families daily to foster positive relationships.

The ideal candidate is at least 15 years old, with a preference for a high school diploma or GED and prior experience with children. This on-site role offers meaningful part-time work with supportive benefits at the YMCA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be at least 15 years of age or older.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the safety and whereabouts of the children in the group at all times, providing a safe, interactive program.
• Maintain a clean and risk-free room arrangement.
• Maintain records, including accident and incident reports, sign in/outsheets, attendance records.
• Greet parents and children daily using names in all interactions.
• Report and/or direct parental concerns to supervisor.
