Job summary

Taylor Stitch is seeking a Keyholder to join our San Francisco store. You will lead on the sales floor, open and close the store, and support the Store Manager while upholding our brand values and delivering exceptional service.

This full-time role requires availability at least 4 days a week, including weekends, at our Valencia Street location. You will engage customers, share style guidance, learn deep product knowledge, and help drive top-line sales while maintaining a clean,

Qualifications

• Previous retail or sales experience is required.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are expected.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to lead by example and guide a team when needed.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage every customer to build rapport and trust.
• Provide guidance on style and fit while applying product knowledge.
• Support store operations, cash handling, and end-of-day reporting.
• Open/close the store and manage keys and alarm codes.
• Assist with inventory, visual merchandising, and stockroom upkeep.
• Coach new team members on sales techniques and product knowledge.

Role Overview

The Taylor Stitch Keyholder is an integral part of the success of our brick & mortar locations. In this role, you'll not only represent our brand and values in every customer interaction, but also take on a trusted leadership role on the sales floor — opening and closing the store, supporting the Store Manager, and helping guide the team in their absence. Our stores are vibrant hubs in San Francisco's most exciting neighborhoods, where we deliver world-class customer service in a friendly, casual atmosphere while driving top-line sales.

This role is full-time, requiring availability at least 4 days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays, at our Valencia Street location.

You’ll:

• Actively greet and engage with every customer
• Offer customers polite and supportive guidance on style and fit
• Learn and apply extensive product knowledge to highlight the unique features and benefits of our products
• Collaborate with the e-commerce customer service team to provide a seamless customer experience
• Handle returns, exchanges, repairs, alterations, and customer concerns with care and understanding
• Open and close the store in accordance with Company procedures, including handling keys and alarm codes
• Oversee daily sales floor operations and support the team in the absence of the Store Manager
• Assist with cash handling, register reconciliation, and end-of-day reporting
• Support onboarding and coaching of new team members on sales techniques and product knowledge
• Meticulously maintain a clean, well-merchandised store and stockroom
• Assist in maintaining accurate daily inventory for your store
• Assist in managing clothing alterations
• Keep the store dynamic, engaging, and exceptionally well-merchandised

What We're Looking For

• Previous retail or sales experience
• Excellent attendance and punctuality practices
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, proactive, and positive demeanor, with the confidence to lead by example
• Ability to work effectively with, and provide guidance to, a team
• Ability to work weekends
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
• Ability to walk up and down staircases while carrying boxes, product, and other store-related items
• Ability to regularly perform store cleaning and maintenance
• Ability to safely lift boxes up to 30 lbs
• Comfort using ladders
