Job summary

Davidson Hospitality Group currently seeks a practiced Front Office Manager to lead our Front Office teams across Key West Historic Inns. You will drive smooth daily operations, champion guest service, and mentor staff to deliver memorable experiences across Winslow's Bungalows, Lighthouse Hotel, Ridley House, Ella's Cottages, and Fitch Lodge.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years Front Office or hotel operations experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with hotel property management systems StayNTouch, Opera, or similar PMS.
• Strong leadership to recruit, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent guest service, communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience managing labor, scheduling, payroll, budgets, and departmental financial performance.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, reservations, Night Audit, and guest service standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other hotel technology platforms.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Front Office operations across the properties, ensuring efficient processes and a positive guest experience.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop Front Office team members in a collaborative, service-focused environment.
• Manage guest arrivals, departures, reservations, special requests, and front desk activities.
• Handle guest concerns and service recovery with professionalism and empathy.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Reservations, and other departments to meet guest needs.
• Manage team schedules, payroll, labor costs, and departmental expenses.
• Monitor guest feedback and department performance for improvements.
• Oversee Front Office financial procedures, including cash handling, billing, and reporting.
• Ensure Night Audit procedures, reconciliations, and reporting are executed properly.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of Front Office staff.
• Maintain understanding of room availability, occupancy, rates, and revenue management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and standards.
• Provide hands-on leadership during busy periods and assist with operational needs.
