Job summary

Belk, Inc. in Concord, NC seeks a part-time Key Holder to support store leadership and drive sales during opening/closing shifts. This hourly role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and adherence to store policies while promoting products to customers.

You will help manage daily operations, assist with cash handling, and ensure a smooth in-store experience for guests, with weekend availability and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must participate in Service Excellence leadership training.
• Must be 18 or a rising senior in high school.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience in retail preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and close store one to two nights per week.
• Internal applicants: 12-18 months employment required.
• Internal applicants: must be in good standing with last performance appraisal.

Responsibilities

• Opens and/or closes the store following procedures.
• Covers open CSL shifts and models customer service behaviors.
• Drives customer service during assigned period.
• Approves select POS transactions such as returns/voids as needed.
• Resolves customer service issues as needed.
• Engages in promoting and selling products to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensures registers open/close and alarms are set correctly.
• Supports store manager with daily operations.
• Communicates CSL walk results to leadership.
• Maintains company policies and procedures consistently.
