Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Romulus, Michigan is seeking a Key Account Operations Manager to act as the primary interface with our key customer and support all transport services. Based at the DTW Station, you will lead operational activities, coordinate with Sales, and implement process improvements to maximize profitability.

You will manage quoting, pickups, invoicing, and customer inquiries, while driving digital solutions and ensuring data integrity across the region.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills – written, oral and presentation.
• Dedicated to servicing and supporting both internal and external customers.
• Excellent analytical and numeric skills – spreadsheets and reporting.
• Excellent skills in preparing presentations.
• Experience in Cargo Wise system a plus.
• Excellent Data & Process analysis skills.
• Ability to support projects and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of dedicated customers in the region, including maintaining SOPs, rates and customer profiles.
• Expedite daily operational activities to ensure customer satisfaction and policy adherence, maximizing profitability.
• Maintain and support existing accounts with quoting, coordinating pickups, invoices and billing questions.
• Develop and implement special projects; identify markets to grow or maintain and develop business strategies.
• Liaise with regional stations on issue resolution and process improvements.
• Handle incoming calls to provide customer satisfaction, retention or upsell other products/services.
• Collaborate with Sales and other departments for smooth shipment handling and updates.
• Ensure documents are completed and updated timely per regulations and internal procedures.
• Identify customer needs for digital offerings and set up appropriate digital solutions.
• Review data integrity and troubleshoot issues between internal and customer systems.
