Job Title: Key Account Manager – Semiconductor (West Coast)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Key Account Manager for the Semiconductor market in the Semiconductor Vertical Organization at 3M, you will leverage your industry knowledge and network to collaborate with innovative teams worldwide, providing value-added solutions to key customer needs. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Managing a segment of key customers in the fast-growing Semiconductor industry through cutting-edge technological solutions.
  2. Understanding industry trends and addressing gaps by communicating needs to the 3M organization.
  3. Developing customer strategies to grow the business by meeting customer needs through 3M's core competencies.
  4. Implementing strategies aligned with the global product platform to develop and penetrate key applications, including new products, across the entire value chain of Semiconductor accounts.
  5. Aligning with US and global leadership to set and execute operating plans supporting business growth.
  6. Supporting complex problem-solving through customer collaboration, ingenuity, creativity, and analytical skills, working across global teams and cultures.
  7. Utilizing Salesforce to communicate account needs, track progress, and manage solutions delivery.
  8. Achieving sales quota and price targets as per the operating plan.

Company Vehicle

This role requires driving a company vehicle, with pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history.

Your Skills and Expertise

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Engineering.
  • Three years of experience in materials for semiconductor device fabrication in a customer-facing role.
  • Two years in a customer-facing role with key device manufacturers.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Science/Engineering.
  • Experience with CMP, TBDB, WSS, chip transport tape, or advanced packaging materials.
  • Fluency in Japanese and/or Chinese.
  • Skills in managing large accounts, pricing, and contracts.
  • Experience supporting product launches, demand planning, and logistics.
  • Soft skills: growth mindset, communication, collaboration, negotiation, results-oriented.

Travel may include up to 50% domestic and 10% international. Location options include Phoenix AZ, Portland OR, Bay Area CA, or Remote USA. No relocation assistance provided. Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
