Job Title: Key Account Manager – Semiconductor (West Coast)

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Key Account Manager for the Semiconductor market in the Semiconductor Vertical Organization at 3M, you will leverage your industry knowledge and network to collaborate with innovative teams worldwide, providing value-added solutions to key customer needs. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Managing key customer segments in the Semiconductor industry through advanced technological solutions.
  2. Understanding industry trends and addressing gaps in customer needs, communicating insights to 3M.
  3. Developing customer strategies to grow the business by aligning with 3M’s core competencies.
  4. Executing customer strategies in line with global product platform strategies to develop and penetrate applications across the entire semiconductor value chain.
  5. Aligning with US and global leadership to set and execute operating plans supporting business growth.
  6. Creating solutions for complex problems through collaboration, ingenuity, and analytical skills, working across global teams and cultures.
  7. Utilizing Salesforce to communicate account needs, track progress, and manage solutions delivery.
  8. Achieving sales quotas and price targets as per the operating plan.

Company Vehicle

This role requires driving a company vehicle, subject to pre-employment and ongoing motor vehicle history reviews.

Your Skills and Expertise

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Science or Engineering (verified prior to start)
  • Three years of experience in materials for semiconductor device fabrication in a customer-facing role across various environments
  • Two years in a customer-facing role with key device manufacturers
  • Current, valid driver’s license

Preferred additional qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Science/Engineering
  • Experience with CMP, TBDB, WSS, chip transport tape, or advanced packaging materials
  • Fluency in Japanese and/or Chinese
  • Skills in account management, pricing, contracts
  • Experience supporting product launches, demand planning, and logistics
  • Soft skills: growth mindset, communication, collaboration, negotiation, results-oriented attitude

Travel: Up to 50% domestic and occasionally 10% international.

Location: Phoenix AZ, Portland OR, Bay Area CA, or Remote USA.

Expected compensation for US applicants: $188,251 - $230,084, including base and variable pay. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and retirement options. More info at: 3M Benefits.
