This person should have previous experience managing Key Consumer Channels, especially Walmart.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies across accounts, including the approval of wholesale accounts in Japan.
- Negotiate large retail agreements with significant door count, manage contract reviews, and enforce sales for distributors.
- Identify and capitalize on sales growth opportunities through strategic negotiations.
- Drive aggressive new business revenue while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Provide necessary support to the team to close new business and ensure success.
- Act as an executive sponsor, owning client relationships and overseeing account management.
- Lead the hiring, training, mentoring, and development of the sales and business development team.
- Develop customized marketing collateral for client presentations and pitches.
- Stay informed about competitive activity and incorporate insights into account strategies.
- Innovate marketing approaches for products and services.
- Develop and manage channel strategies, focusing on distribution and velocity through key accounts.
- Collaborate with distributors on margin management and joint business planning aligned with global sales strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or a related field.
- 7+ years of retail sales experience, with a focus on consumer electronics and 3+ years of sales management experience.
- Proven entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong track record of exceeding sales quotas and maintaining a high-quality deal flow.
- Demonstrated executive leadership and managerial skills with a history of building effective teams.
- Experience in an entrepreneurial or start-up environment is advantageous.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills at both strategic and functional levels.
- In-depth knowledge of best practices and contemporary sales methodologies.
