The Role
The Key Account Director is responsible for managing and growing strategic client relationships within Solera’s automotive sector. This role focuses on enhancing client satisfaction, driving revenue growth, and ensuring long-term business success through tailored solutions and strong partnership management.

What You'll Do

  • Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with key automotive clients.
  • Analyze client needs, market trends, and industry dynamics to provide customized solutions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for key accounts, addressing inquiries and concerns efficiently.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize account growth, retention, and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless alignment with client objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand business within existing accounts.
  • Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing structures, and service agreements.
  • Drive new business development by identifying potential clients and presenting value-driven solutions.
  • Consistently achieve and surpass sales targets and performance objectives.
  • Stay informed about evolving industry trends, market shifts, and competitor activities.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to enhance client service delivery.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members to optimize account management effectiveness.

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive knowledge of sales strategies, account management, and key selling techniques.
  • Experience with Dealership Management System (DMS) software.
  • Background in automotive lifecycle management, including marketing programs and CRM software.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external decision-makers.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and resolve client concerns with diplomacy and professionalism.
  • Expertise in delivering tailored solutions that align with client objectives and drive sales closure.
  • Experience in developing business growth plans and effectively communicating strategic initiatives.
  • Confidence in presenting to large audiences and conducting training sessions.
  • Strong listening skills, with the ability to act proactively on client feedback.
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritization, organizational, and project coordination skills to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams toward achieving business objectives.
  • Adaptability to work in both collaborative and fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in business tracking tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and email communication platforms.

Other Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Deep understanding of automotive market trends, emerging technologies, and client expectations.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex client accounts and driving revenue growth.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
  • Prior experience in automotive marketing solutions and CRM software is highly preferred.
