The Salvation Army is seeking a Kettle Coordinator to support our Red Kettle Campaign in the community. You will recruit volunteers, coordinate schedules, organize kettle pickup, and help drive our fundraising efforts with a friendly, service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Recruit volunteer bell ringers and groups; establish dates, times and locations.
• Contact volunteers via phone or email to schedule ringing times.
• Call local businesses to sign them up for kettle sponsorship.
• Organize kettle pickups with bucket slips.
• Oversee kettle drivers and manage campaign website for volunteer sign-ups.
• Sort kettle money with volunteers per guidelines and transfer to bank for processing.
• Enter daily funds into tracking spreadsheet and local SA tracker.
• Promote bell ringing opportunities in the community.
• Maintain kettle equipment and send thank you notes to volunteers.

Job Objective:

Kettle Coordinator is responsible for performing daily tasks necessary for running the Red Kettle Campaign

Essential Functions:

• Recruiting and signing up volunteer bell ringers & groups and establishing dates, times and locations
• Contacting via phone or email volunteer bell ringers to schedule ringing times
• Call local businesses to sign them up for kettle sponsorship
• Organizing kettle pick-ups to include writing out bucket slips
• Overseeing kettle drivers
• Managing campaign website for volunteer sign-ups( if applicable)
• Responsible for sorting kettle money with volunteers per applicable guidelines
• Responsible for transferring money to bank for processing per applicable guidelines
• Responsible for entering daily funds into tracking spreadsheet and online SA tracker (to be determined by local Service Rep)
• Drop off and pick up kettles when kettle driver is unavailable
• Promote bell ringing opportunities in the community
• Maintain Kettle Equipment - Keep clean and inspect for damage
• Thank you notes to volunteers and kettle locations
• Make copies of checks dropped in kettles and get them to Field Rep
• Complete end of season paperwork and turn it in to Field Rep
