Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Kettle Driver to operate an insured vehicle during the Red Kettle Campaign season (November–December). You will transport bell ringers and equipment, drive safely, and act as an ambassador for the mission in the community.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and at least 2 years of driving experience. The position requires daily travel, weekend/evening work, and ability to assist with

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
Background checks: Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background check results will be reviewed.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years driving experience; experience driving 12-passenger vans preferred.

Responsibilities

Drop off and pick up bell ringers in a pre-determined route and secure kettles on stands.
Assist with placement of kettles at corps locations before the first day of kettle season.
Document time for the bell ringers and ensure the accuracy of all forms related to bell ringing.
Deliver kettles and equipment to Bell ringers at designated kettle sites, for both paid workers and volunteers.
Monitor safety of bell ringers during shifts and report concerns to the supervisor.
Ensure kettles, bells, and aprons are secured and returned each day; report broken equipment to supervisor.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and attend to fuel and maintenance needs and report to staff.
