Kennel Attendant - Best Friends Animal Hospital and Pet Hotel

Location: Fayetteville, AR

Position: Part-time/Summer Help - less than 30 hours/week

Hours: Monday–Sunday: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM and 6:00 PM–9:00 PM
(Schedule may vary based on boarding volume.)

Note: Requires holiday, weekend, day, and evening shift availability. The hospital's kennel operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and does not close due to inclement weather.

Compensation: $12-13/hr

A Day in the Life:

The purpose of this position is to provide daily care for boarding and daycare pets, including feeding, watering, cleaning, walking, bathing, medicating, and monitoring their well-being. Responsibilities also include cleaning the clinic, laundry, dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and other tasks. Candidates must love animals and be able to warmly welcome clients and care for their pets.

• Document daily tasks (appetite, bathroom habits, etc.)
• Check-in and check-out of boarding clients and patients
• Verify vaccines
• Maintain a clean kennel environment
• Walk pets and take them outside
• Label pets and belongings accurately
• Administer food and medications
• Communicate and document any health concerns
• Update clients on their pets
• Clean hospital grounds (interior and exterior)
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, including kennels, hospital interior/grounds, mopping, vacuuming, laundry
