This is a bilingual preferred position. Non-bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as we have multiple vacancies. Employees with bilingual responsibilities receive a 5% increase in pay.
Make a difference for crime victims as our Workers’ Compensation Adjudicator 3. You will provide relief to crime victims and their families or dependents to limit economic hardship. You’ll manage a caseload of complex and catastrophic crime victim compensation claims independently.
Crime types include gross misdemeanor or felony crimes, which may be catastrophic, graphic, sensitive, and traumatic, involving physical and/or mental health injuries from assaults, sexual assaults, vehicular crimes, and homicides. Benefits may include medical treatment, limited wage loss, pension, burial expenses, and counseling services.
Successful completion of the Department of Labor and Industries Workers’ Compensation Adjudicator 2 Apprenticeship program, or
Six months of experience as a Workers’ Compensation Adjudicator 2, or
Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant adjudication experience, or
Equivalent education/experience.
This position is bilingual preferred – Spanish. Bilingual candidates who pass HR testing will communicate in both English and Spanish.
Teleworking options are available to maintain work-life balance. Initial training will be in-office. The assigned duty station is Tumwater, WA. Telework frequency will be discussed at the time of offer.
