Hawaiian Building Maintenance on Kauai invites a dedicated custodian to join our team. You will perform routine cleaning, sanitize restrooms, manage waste, and assist with event setup while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for occupants.

We value attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work independently or in a team. The role requires physical stamina and reliability, with opportunities for growth and training.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must pass prescreen check.
• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred. Willingness to train.
• Valid Hawaii Driver's License preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Good communication in English and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Capable of performing tasks in any type of weather.
• Physically capable of carrying, lifting, pushing, pulling a minimum of 25 pounds to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and performing tasks such as stretching, kneeling, bending, crawling, climbing and pressing.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to supervisor.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by yourH.B.M. supervisor.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting.
• Sanitize, clean restrooms, replenish supplies, manage waste disposal and recycling.
• Set up or break down furniture for events and ensure areas are secure after cleaning.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to supervisor and perform additional tasks as assigned.
