New Jersey Tutoring Corps Inc. is seeking a School Tutor in Paterson to support K–8 students in math and literacy through small-group instruction. The role focuses on data-informed lesson planning, maintaining student records, and delivering high-impact tutoring aligned with school calendar.

The position runs four days a week, 8:30 am to 3:45 pm, with a weekly cap of 29 hours. End date of the program is 05/13/2027, and compensation is $30.00–$40.00 per hour with paid training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 60 college credits.
• Tutoring or teaching experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of NJ Student Learning Standards for Math & ELA is a plus.
• Belief that all scholars deserve high-quality education.
• Professionalism, reliability, and punctuality are essential.
• Willingness to work with young learners in targeted interventions.
• Reliable transportation to travel between sites.
• Gmail account required; familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
• Employees may use a private device or obtain a company loaner if needed.

Responsibilities

• Engage K-8 scholars in math and literacy in 4–6 hour daily blocks.
• Complete daily records and attendance digitally.
• Prepare lessons using data to drive instruction while maintaining confidentiality.
• Communicate regularly with site leaders to optimize learning experiences.
• Participate in coaching and implement feedback for professional growth.
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and prompt communication.
• Collaborate with teammates to support scholar success.
