Job summary

Easterseals of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants to support students in our charter school program, providing individualized behavioral and educational support to help each child reach their full potential.

You’ll work closely with a Licensed Behavior Specialist to implement Positive Behavior Support Plans, collect data, and teach meaningful replacement skills that promote independence and success.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in working with children with developmental or behavioral needs.
• Ability to follow behavior plans and use positive behavior strategies.
• Flexibility to work one-on-one with a student or in a classroom support role.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategies and interventions outlined in students’ Positive Behavior Support Plans
• Collect behavioral data and assist with progress monitoring
• Support classroom instruction and promote positive engagement
• Teach and reinforce communication, social, and self-regulation skills
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to create a nurturing learning environment
