Job summary

AmeriSchools Academy in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Interventionist to support primary and middle grades with reading and math interventions. You will work with teachers to identify at-risk students, provide targeted instruction, and use data to guide daily decisions.

Responsibilities include planning evidence-based lessons, delivering one-on-one or small group sessions, and communicating progress to families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years teaching experience in reading and math intervention.
• Experience teaching English learners.
• Bilingual (Spanish preferred).
• Planning and implementing differentiated intervention lessons.
• Use of technology to deliver curriculum and manage data.

Responsibilities

• Identify students in kindergarten through grade 8 needing reading or math intervention.
• Provide one-on-one and small group reading and math instruction.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers for intervention support.
• Use assessment data to drive daily instructional decisions.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to state standards and research methodologies.
• Provide students with evaluative feedback and progress communications to parents.
• Organize the classroom and manage non-instructional aspects effectively.
• Engage in professional growth activities and collaborate on professional development.
