Job summary

Illinois Education Job Bank is recruiting a Math Interventionist to provide targeted math support for K–8 students identified as below grade level. The role collaborates with teachers and administrators to design evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, and promote numeracy across classrooms.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Education, a current teaching license, and 5+ years of math teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to analyze student data to guide interventions.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide small group and individualized math instruction aligned to students' needs.
• Assess students using formal and informal measures.
• Monitor progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop intervention strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about progress and home strategies.
• Attend professional development to stay current in math intervention.
• Support schoolwide math initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by Curriculum leaders.
