Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• College coursework or passing NCLB requirements may be required.
• Experience with special needs students is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in reading, language arts and mathematics in small groups.
• Reinforce basic learning and carry out assigned programs.
• Support teachers with classroom activities, tests and assessments.
• Prepare and reinforce instructional materials and strategies for individual needs.
• Document student learning and performance records.
• Support behavior management to keep a safe, productive class.
• Liaise with parents as requested to encourage involvement.
• Follow safety rules and regulations for all students.
