Southeast Elementary School is seeking a dedicated Curriculum Tutor to join our team on a part-time basis. You will work closely with students to enhance understanding of the curriculum and support their academic growth.

The role emphasizes one-on-one and small-group sessions, collaboration with teachers, and flexible hours after school, with a focus on creating engaging materials and a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must have Teacher Licensure (substitute eligible).
• Experience tutoring or teaching elementary students.
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and passion for helping students succeed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including after school and possibly evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions aligned to curriculum standards.
• Assess students’ learning needs and develop personalized lesson plans.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with teachers to align tutoring with classroom instruction.
• Create engaging and interactive learning materials to enhance understanding.
• Maintain a positive and supportive learning atmosphere encouraging participation.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
