Edgecombe County Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Academic Support Teacher for Coker-Wimberly Elementary School in Battleboro, NC. The role focuses on strengthening ELA, Math, and Science instruction for K–5 students by modeling lessons, co‑teaching, and supporting district curricula with fidelity.

The position emphasizes collaboration with teachers to plan effective small-group and Tier II interventions, alignment to NC standards, and ongoing communication with families.

Qualifications

• Degree in education or a related area that qualifies for NC licensure.
• Teaching Certification - Elementary
• Ability to monitor safety and well‑being of students.

Responsabilités

• Provide academic intervention and enrichment for Math and ELA
• Provide social emotional learning lessons
• Monitor student grades, attendance, and assessment performance
• Collaborate with grade level colleagues to support Math and ELA
• Maintain contact with parents to create a home–school partnership
• Carry out non-instructional duties as assigned and adhere to policies
