Job summary

Condon School District 25J is seeking a SPED Instructional Assistant to support licensed staff in implementing IEPs and behavior plans. The role includes individual and small-group academic and behavioral support, data collection, and collaboration with the educational team to ensure student success.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred college hours or Work Keys credentials, and may require safety and first aid training.

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 72 quarter hours of accredited college or equivalent education or Work Keys in Math, Reading, and Business Writing.
• Preferred: Safety-Care, CPI or comparable behavioral intervention training.
• Preferred: Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff with implementing IEPs, behavior support plans, and related instructional or behavioral interventions.
• Provide individual and small-group support to reinforce academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and communication goals.
• Assist students in developing social skills, self-regulation, and positive behavioral habits.
• Reinforce teacher-directed instruction through guided practice and targeted interventions.
• Implement approved behavior support strategies and crisis-response procedures, including assistive technology when appropriate.
