Providence Hall Charter School in Herriman, UT seeks a highly dedicated Elementary (K-5) paraprofessional (Special Education) to support students and teachers in the classroom and campus settings.

The role includes one-on-one support, classroom preparation, safety adherence, MTSS collaboration, and strong communication with families. Bilingual Spanish is preferred; associate degree or higher is required or completion of the USBE assessment within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required; or, in lieu of a degree, proof of passing a USBE Board approved assessment within 90 days of hire.
• Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred.
• Previous experience working with children in an instructional setting preferred.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check and provide references as a condition of employment.

Responsabilités

• Prepare the classroom to promote a healthy and safe learning environment for assigned student(s).
• Ensure classroom safety guidelines are met at all times.
• Utilise various techniques to manage assigned student(s).
• Engage with assigned student(s) to enhance and encourage learning.
• Assist the teacher in modifying materials to meet specific needs of assigned student(s).
• Provide basic caregiving duties, support, and encouragement in all aspects of development of assigned student(s).
• Collaborate with colleagues to support MTSS processes and the school in general.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative learning community.
