Job summary

Barbour County Schools seeks (3) Tutor(s) for an extracurricular intervention program. These contract/hourly positions will focus on Reading and Mathematics for grades K-5, with one-on-one and small group tutoring during the school day. Positions begin October 2026 and end May 2027, contingent on federal funding.

Compensation is $35.00 per hour. Retired teachers are preferred. This role supports focused intervention using data-driven instruction in Barbour County.

Qualifications

• Valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate Endorsed in Elementary Education 0K-05 or Multi-Subjects 0K-08.
• Retired teachers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide focused intervention in Reading and Mathematics for K-5.
• Lead one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions.
• Monitor progress and adapt instruction based on data.
• Deliver instruction during school hours within grant funding.
