Job summary

Barbour County Schools seeks an After School Tutor (Extra-curricular) to support students with targeted English/Language Arts and math instruction after school. The role is grant-funded, up to 2 hours per week, from October 2026 through May 2027, based on federal funds and student need.

Applicant must hold a WV Teaching Certificate endorsed in Elementary Education 0K-05 or Multi-Subjects 0K-05 and be available for after-school sessions under the supervision of the Principal.

Qualifications

• Valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate endorsed in Elementary Education 0K-05 or Multi-Subjects 0K-05.
• Teaching certification must be active and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide after-school tutoring in english/language arts and math based on iReady data.
• Deliver targeted instruction up to 2 hours per week during the 2026-2027 school year.

Employment Term

Salary

$35.00 per hour
