Job summary

Virginia Beach City Public Schools seeks a Behavior Intervention Teacher to support the Seaglass Program for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, strengthening academic readiness, social-emotional development, and behavioral skills through targeted intervention.

The role entails planning and delivering learning experiences for students with challenging behaviors in diverse settings, using data to monitor progress and adjust strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• Must have, or be eligible for, a Virginia teaching license (Elementary Education PK-6 or PK-3).
• Experience with at-risk or behaviorally challenged students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate positive behavioral change in students.
• Provide direct and indirect social-emotional instructional support.
• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans aligned with instructional goals.
• Collaborate with school psychologist, counselor, and social worker.
