Job summary

Henry County Public Schools seeks a Curriculum Coordinator - K-5 Mathematics to collaborate with teachers and administrators to strengthen mathematics instruction across Title I elementary schools. The coordinator will model effective teaching, facilitate professional learning, and promote best practices in math pedagogy.

The role supports differentiating instruction, analyzing student data to guide decisions, and aligning a vertical K-5 mathematics curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college; Master’s degree with specialization in Administration & Supervision or Curriculum & Instruction preferred.
• Five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience in mathematics with demonstrated student growth.
• Must have or be eligible to receive a Virginia teacher license with an elementary endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with teachers and administrators to strengthen K-5 mathematics instruction.
• Develop and implement vertically aligned, standards-based mathematics curriculum.
• Model effective instruction, provide professional learning, and give reflective feedback to staff.
• Analyze student data to inform instructional decisions and differentiate instruction.
• Coordinate partnerships and professional learning with community members and organizations.
