Job summary

Plymouth Elementary is seeking a Literacy Interventionist to provide intensive Tier 2 and 3 literacy instruction for K-5 students, aligned with the Science of Reading. The role supports IRPs, data-driven instruction, and collaboration with teachers and families.

The position begins for the 2026–2027 school year, with a 1.0 FTE load, 189 days, and the Granite Teacher Salary Schedule. Utah licensure and LETRS completion are required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Must hold USBE license or an equivalent license; must obtain Utah license by end of first year.
• Completion of LETRS training or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of elementary teaching; five+ years preferred.
• Must meet SB 241 Science of Reading requirement per Granite policy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality literacy instruction to small groups daily (20–30 minutes).
• Administer benchmarks and diagnostic assessments to identify targeted needs.
• Develop and monitor Individualized Reading Plans (IRPs) for students scoring below benchmark.
• Collaborate with the literacy team and classroom teachers to monitor progress and communicate with families.
• Participate in monthly PLCs and SST meetings and adhere to district professional learning.
