Job summary

Lakeview Elementary in Roy, Utah is seeking a PT Literacy Aide to support K-3 reading with evidence-based interventions aligned with the Science of Reading. This 5.75-hour per day position provides paraprofessional support on-site within the Weber School District.

You will assist with individualized reading plans, collaborate with classroom teachers and the literacy coach, help maintain plans with current data, and participate in ongoing training to ensure best practices and student progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead evidence-based reading interventions aligned with the Science of Reading for students with Individualized Reading Plans.
• Work closely with classroom teachers to ensure interventions are delivered with fidelity and aligned with students’ plans.
• Assist with literacy building activities and strategies.
• Develop aide schedules in coordination with administrators.
• Complete ongoing Science of Reading training to ensure best practice.
