Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools is seeking a Kid Zone Instructor at Highview Elementary School to help develop and deliver enrichment activities for K–5 students in a safe, engaging environment.

The role involves implementing curriculum, serving as the main program contact, and supervising groups across classrooms, cafeteria, gym, playground, and field trips. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, with strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Elementary Education (preferred).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with large and small groups of children.
• Able to work outdoors in various kinds of weather.
• Skilled in use of computer.

Responsibilities

• Assists in development, implementation and evaluation of after-school activities for grades K-5.
• Delivers age-appropriate theme-based curriculum aligned with program indicators.
• Provides excellent customer service and serves as primary contact for program needs.
• Supervises children in diverse settings: classroom, cafeteria, gym, playground, and field trips.
• Works collaboratively with staff to create a safe, enriching environment.
