Job summary

Lakeville-Area-Schools seeks a Kid Zone Assistant to lead engaging after-school activities, supervise students, and join them on field trips. You’ll help create a safe, fun environment and support a diverse group of kids before and after school at multiple sites such as Eastview Elementary and John F.

Kennedy Elementary. The role focuses on supervising groups, assisting with the daily curriculum, and ensuring safety during transitions, meals, and activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 with a high school diploma.
• Experience working with children in group and supervisory settings.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Basic academic skills to provide tutorial support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with groups of children in classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, labs, and on field trips.
• Support children with a variety of needs.
• Oversee students during transitions, meals, and snack times.
• Assist the Kid Zone Instructor with curriculum and activities.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment by setting up and storing supplies.
