Job summary

Lakeview Elementary School in Lakeville, MN is seeking a Kid Zone Assistant to support before/after school programs. You will lead educational activities, supervise students, and help ensure safety and well-being while participating in field trips and hands-on learning centers.

The role focuses on supervising groups in multiple settings, assisting the curriculum, and maintaining a positive, engaging environment for students during the school day calendar.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age, high school diploma.
• Training or experience working with children in group/tutorial and supervisory settings.
• Interpersonal skills for working with students and adults as determined by the coordinator.
• basic academic competencies to provide tutorial assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with and supervise large and small groups of children in activities across settings (classroom, cafeteria, gym, etc.).
• Work with children with a variety of needs.
• Supervise children during transitions, breakfast, lunch and snack.
• Assist Kid Zone Instructor in preparing and implementing the daily curriculum.
• Maintain room environment by setting up, cleaning and storing supplies and equipment.
