Job summary

The Neighborhood Learning Alliance is seeking a part-time K-5 Afterschool Floater to support daily programming across Pittsburgh sites. You will lead academic enrichment, arts, STEM, and community-building activities in a safe, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include implementing the after-school model, assisting with attendance, and coordinating with staff and families. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and have a HS diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Experience or study in education, social work, health, nonprofits is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and families.

Responsibilities

• Support mission and core values in daily activities.
• Assist with after school model implementation at sites.
• Promote reading and STEM enrichment for students.
• Help plan and run daily programming and activities.
• Assist with attendance, procedures, and program structures; lift up to 40 lbs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe space for students.
• Support children's academic and social-emotional needs.
• Attend team meetings as assigned; communicate with families.
• Perform other duties as needed and appropriate.
