Job summary

Monroe School District 103 is seeking a K-3 Interventionist districtwide to screen, identify, and deliver reading intervention services for students in grades K–3. The role emphasizes targeted small-group instruction and collaboration with classroom teachers.

The ideal candidate will hold a WA state teaching certificate, have experience with reading interventions, and be comfortable working with diverse learners, including Spanish-speaking families.

Qualifications

• Possess or qualify for immediate issuance of a Washington State teaching certificate.
• Experience providing small group intervention in reading and reading readiness.
• Training or experience with the Washington State K-12 Reading Model, including the five essential components of reading.
• Training or experience working with academically at-risk and culturally/linguistically diverse students and families.
• Fluency in Spanish preferred.
• CPR/First Aid may be required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Provide reading intervention and readiness services to K–3 students.
• Screen and identify targeted students for intervention and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and building teams regularly.
• Apply research-based instructional strategies for intervention and track data.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to district policies.
