Job summary

Math Corps, administered by Ampact, is seeking a Math Tutor in Minnesota to work with small groups at local schools. You’ll gain training and coach support while helping students build math skills through proven activities during 20-30 minute sessions.

This AmeriCorps role offers a 35‑hour workweek, weekday schedule, paid stipend of $18.89 per hour, plus health insurance, childcare assistance, loan forbearance and education benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email and online navigation)
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading and writing
• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
• Able to successfully complete a background check

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult focused on helping students thrive
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training
• Share your experience with the community
