Ampact’s Math Corps is seeking a part-time/full-time Math Tutor to support students in a local Minnesota school. You’ll conduct short tutoring sessions, follow a set schedule, and track progress with an on-site coach. You’ll help students build math skills and confidence through guided activities.

The role emphasizes reliability, training, and community involvement, with an AmeriCorps stipend and scheduling that aligns with school days.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (email, web).
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to provide support.
• Track student progress and meet with the on-site coach regularly.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
