Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree with a concentration in Education.
• Two years of higher education (48 credit hours) or the ability to pass a formal assessment.
• NC DOL Apprenticeship Program or NC ATA Professional Development Plan may fulfill requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assists children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supervises students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, and during field trips.
• Enforces school policies and rules governing students.
• Collaborates with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Instructs and monitors students in the use of equipment and materials to prevent injuries.
• Observes and records student performance to assess progress.
