Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, NC is seeking a K-3 Teacher Assistant to support instructional staff under supervision of a teacher or principal. Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 48 credits or formal assessment completed
• An Associate's Degree with a concentration in Education
• Two+ years of experience working with elementary age children

Responsibilities

• Assist children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, school yards, and gymnasiums or on field trips
• Enforce administration policies and rules governing students
• Discuss duties with teachers to coordinate instructional efforts
• Instructs and monitors students in using equipment to prevent injuries
• Observe students' performance and record data for progress assessments
